The urinary system of cats is often extremely delicate.
Urinary tract disorders in cats can cause urinary stones (including struvite and calcium oxalate) to form.
Cats suffering from these disorders must be subjected to a specific diet that supports the organs of the lower urinary tract.
Royal Canin Urinary S / O products have been specially formulated by nutritionists and veterinarians for the treatment of inflammation of the urinary tract and urinary stones.
An excess of minerals can promote an environment that lends itself to crystallization in the urine, a primary factor in the formation of stones. These croquettes have a reduced content of magnesium, the natural component of struvite crystals.
The RSS (Relative Super Saturation) technology used by Royal Canin Urinary S / O LP 34 Veterinary Diet allows to predict the crystallization potential of urine and therefore to develop a specific diet against the formation of stones.
The low RSS index of the Royal Canin Urinary S / O LP 34 Veterinary Diet kibble contributes to the ionic undersaturation of the urine and fights crystallization.
The formula of these croquettes also increases the volume of urine by diluting it and making the urinary environment less favorable to the formation of struvite stones and calcium oxalate.

Suitable for:

Contraindications:

• pregnant and lactating females – kittens
• chronic renal failure, metabolic acidosis
• heart failure
• treatment with urine acidifying drugs
• high pressure

Duration of treatment:

5 to 12 weeks and / or until the stones dissolve. To prevent recurrence, the diet should continue for at least another 6 months.

Those who have an animal should feed it exclusively with URINARY S / O as otherwise the effectiveness of the product would be limited.
