How to Find the Perfect Fit (Equivalent to "Size 10")
Since "size 10" isn't standard for pet clothing, here's how to find the right size:
-
-
Chest Girth (Most Important): Measure around the widest part of your dog's chest, just behind the front legs. This is the most critical measurement for a good fit
-
Back Length: Measure from the base of the neck (where collar sits) to the base of the tail. Make sure your dog is standing on all four legs
-
Neck Girth: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar normally sits, leaving room for two fingers
-
Weight: Helpful reference point for many brands

A dog that would wear "size 10" in an imaginary universal system would likely fall into different categories depending on what "10" refers to:
-
If "10" refers to 10-inch back length: This would be XS in Frisco (10" back) or XS in Casual Canine (10" back)
-
If "10" refers to 10-pound weight: This would be S in Frisco (6-10 lbs) or S in PupRwear (10-15 lbs)
-
If "10" refers to 10-inch chest: This would be smaller than any size listed—most XS sizes start at 13-14" chest
